“Black Rhino/RacerX Motorsports’ Sponsored Athlete Cody Rahders Race Report from the Terracross Championships & The Lucas Oil Regionals So Cal”

07/10/15 El Cajon, CA– In a long weekend of racing, Black Rhino/Racer X Motorsports athlete Cody Rahders raced his Fox sponsored Polaris RZR to 13th and 5th place finishes at Rounds 1 and 2 of the Terracross Championships, following up with a 2nd and 1st in his Polaris Cognito Fox sponsored RZR at Rounds 4 and 5 of the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series.

Starting with Terracross, Cody finished 2nd in his day one qualifier which moved him directly to the day one main but he broke an axle in his day two main event qualifier and was  moved to the LCQ which he easily won placing him in the day two main event.

In the day one main event race Cody started 6th and slowly worked his way up to 3rd before breaking another axle on the last lap and finishing 5th. In the day two main event race Cody started the race in second to last and worked his way up to 8th before breaking yet another axle. In the end he was credited with 13th.

“Huge thank you to Fox for sponsoring me at the Terracross Championships. It was a great opportunity. The front differential broke during practice and I kept over driving the car in 2 wheel drive and breaking axles, super hard not to do.” Cody said.

At Round 4 of the Lucas Oil Regional Series Cody qualified 2nd then went on to finish the main in 2nd place. Round 5 Cody qualified 2nd again and  then in the main all hell broke loose; Brake checking, rough driving, aggressive passes, and multiple crashes would fill the day. Cody would finish the race physically in 3rd in 3 wheel drive literally dragging his right front tire, however, at the checkered flag 2nd place was black flagged moving Cody into 2nd place.

After the podium the Lucas Oil post race tech inspector requested the podium finishers remove and surrender their cylinder heads and camshafts for inspection. The 1st place finisher declined inspection and was disqualified. Cody’s parts were removed, inspected, passed, and he was awarded 1st place. After starting the season with just 3 points Cody has climbed his way into 2nd place in championship points and sits just 18 points out of first with two rounds to go in the Lucas Oil Regional Series.

“That was the absolute longest weekend of my life! I had fun but I’m glad we have a little time before the next race, my car is pretty bent and needs some work.” Cody said.
