El Cajon, October 19, 2015- Black Rhino Performance/Racer X Motorsports sponsored athlete Darren Hardesty Jr. is your Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series-So Cal Pro Buggy Champion and Rookie of the Year!

In Friday’s practice, the track was very slippery making “Hot Sauce” a little nervous about Saturday’s race; the team wanted to finish the season with a win.

Hardesty Jr. in the #99 Pro Buggy was first In Saturday’s qualifying and after the inversion started fourth. The green flag dropped and by turn one the #99 had moved up to third. On turn two Hardesty Jr. then made the pass for second. On the following lap, it was a drag race at the Matterhorn jump. Hardesty Jr. didn’t let off and jumped the #99 into the lead where he remained to the checkered flag.

“We wanted to end the season with a win. We had a large enough points lead going into the last round that any finish would have earned us the championship. I can’t wait to head back to Lake Elsinore for Round 17 & the Challenge Cup of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series.” Hardesty Jr. said.

Darren “Hot Sauce” Hardesty Jr. had a stellar Regional season that included a podium finish at all 7 rounds; 4 wins, 2 third places and 1 second place finish. He finishes the 2015 Lucas Oil Regional Series as the Pro Buggy Champion and Rookie of the Year.
