“BLACK RHINO PERFORMANCE/RACER X MOTORSPORTS SPONSORED ATHLETE JERETT BROOKS SECURES SECOND PLACE IN LOORRS PRO LITE CHAMPIONSHIP”
El Cajon, Ca.- November 3, 2015 – Black Rhino Performance/Racer X Motorsports athlete Jerett Brooks ends the 2015 race series with runner up honors in the Pro Lite division of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series.
Brooks knew he had a formidable challenge in front of him this past weekend having to finish five positions ahead of current points leader and past division champion RJ Anderson. Brooks remained focused, setting some of the fastest lap times in Friday’s practice and was again very strong for Saturday’s practice and qualifying sessions.
Brooks would start the race on row three with Anderson sitting a couple rows behind him, which gave Brooks hope going into the racing action. Even with his top challenger sitting behind him, Brooks had extremely fast trucks in front of him, all of whom were gunning for the top spot in the season ending race. Brooks had raced long battles trying to make his way to the top of the field and distance himself from Anderson; however, he ran out of laps and was able to secure a hard fought fourth place finish on the day and second place in the series points.
Brooks had an amazing follow up year to his 2014 TORC Pro Light Championship season in his first full race season back in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. He compiled a total of eight podiums including four race wins in the seventeen round series.
“This was an amazing year for me even though we didn’t achieve our ultimate goal.” says Jerett Brooks “I feel like I learned so much from every race this year and will take what I have learned, apply it in my off season preparation and plan to come into 2016 ready to achieve my goal of locking down my first Pro Lite title in LOORRS.”
