“Black Rhino/RacerX Motorsports’ Jerett Brooks Battles At First LOORRS Race In Mexico”
El Cajon, Ca.- August 7th, 2015 – Black Rhino/RacerX Motorsports athlete Jerett Brooks battles extreme course conditions in Mexico and walks away with two top ten finishes on the race weekend.
This past weekend at Estero Beach in Baja, Mexico, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing series held its inaugural race at this newly made venue. Brooks, along with the other drivers in the field, had to quickly adapt to the new circuit and dirt compound to get ready for the weekend’s race action.
Jerett fought hard during Saturday’s race starting well back in the field after a tough qualifying session earlier in the day. Jerett was jockeying for position all race and was able to secure a 10th place finish in Round 11.
Round 12 on Sunday started off much better for Brooks as he was able to land in the top qualifying spot; which gave him ideal starting position. Jerett would battle for the lead with eventual race winner RJ Anderson for the first part of the race before falling victim to some of the tricky lines the circuit produced and would eventually secure 4th place when the checkered flag waived.
“Well, I can say this past weekend was definitely a learning experience all the way around for myself and my team!” says Jerett Brooks, “I will walk away with some positives from Mexico as well as some things to improve on so we can come back stronger next year!”
Jerett will compete next at Rounds 13 & 14 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series to be held at Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, NV. He will look to bounce back and make up ground in the Pro Lite points championship where he currently sits in 2nd place with 6 race races left in the season.
