“Black Rhino/RacerX Motorsports’ Sponsored Athlete Jerett Brooks Earns Two Podiums and Fourth Victory of 2016 in Las Vegas”
El Cajon, Ca.- September 23rd, 2015 – Black Rhino/RacerX Motorsports sponsored athlete Jerett Brooks finishes on the podium at Rounds 15 & 16 including his fourth win of the season in the Lucas Oil Off Road Race Series in Las Vegas, NV.
Brooks was able to draw off his past success at this track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, having won there last year, in his return to LOORRS after a successful season competing in TORC and bringing home his first Championship.
Jerett was extremely strong all weekend where he qualified third fastest each day in the always stacked Pro Lite division. In Friday’s race action Brooks was in a race long battle with the series points leader and tried to make multiple pass attempts trying to move up in both race position and series points. He kept pushing all the way to the checkers however was unable to make the pass and finished with a very strong third place finish for the night.
Brooks once again qualified third fastest for Saturday’s race, however his end result would be improved from Friday nights race. Jerett learned from the race the night before and knew he had to get to the front as quickly as possible as the track proved to be difficult to pass on. In just a few short laps Brooks was able to move past his competition to the lead and drove with extreme precision to take home the victory. Jerett was also able make up crucial championship points going into the final round.
“I am really happy with how I drove this weekend, I am up against some tough competition so anytime I can make up points is a good weekend!” Says Jerett Brooks “I can’t thank my team and sponsors enough for their support and I am going to give it everything I have in the last race at Elsinore and hopefully it’s enough to bring home the Pro Lite title.”
Jerett will compete next at Round 17 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series and the season ending Challenge Cup held in Lake Elsinore, CA..
