El Cajon, CA, February 22, 2017- It didn’t take long for Mia Chapman to settle into the first race of 2017 in her #537 Modified Kart.  Mia strapped in and ran with the best young drivers in the world walking away with back to back 3rd place finishes in the Lucas Oil Off Road Regional Series, Arizona, Rounds 1 & 2!

Mia Chapman Racing rolled into Arizona with a fierce attitude and a will and desire to WIN! Mia’s weekend started out strong in her practice session; the kart felt great and the track prep was good.

Saturday’s qualifying went as well as practice did the day before and her fastest lap earned her a 3rd spot on the starting grid for the main event. When the green flag dropped Mia was battling for position the entire race; with such tough competition she found herself bringing her #537 up to 3rd place and that’s where she would finish. “It was intense! It felt good getting back in the seat after what seemed to be a long off season and I will go out tomorrow and try harder to improve.” said Chapman.

Saturday evening the 2016 Awards Banquet was held at the track where she received her awards for placing 3rd in overall points and earning the coveted ‘Rookie of the Year’!

Sunday Mia was able to make good on her promise as she drove her heart out during qualifying and again qualified 3rd and improved on her time from the previous day. At the start of the main Mia once again found herself battling for position throughout the entire race.  Mia finished exactly where she started in 3th place.  “It was nice to finish” the young driver said but added, “I will do better next time; I can Promise you that! Every race my self and my program are improving, top of the box is coming soon.”
